Acceptable Use Policy
This policy sets out the rules for using Solar Mailshot. It forms part of the Terms of Service. Breaking it may lead to content being removed or an account being suspended.
You must
- Use the service only to market your own lawful solar, battery and related products and services.
- Make sure everything in your letters and web pages is accurate and not misleading, including prices, savings, offers, timescales and grants.
- Show only accreditations, memberships and reviews you genuinely hold, and keep them current.
- Treat homeowners fairly: no pressure selling, and follow consumer protection law and the advertising codes (CAP Code).
- Stop contacting anyone who asks you to, within 7 days, and tell us so we can add them to our suppression list.
- Survey each property before quoting. Our figures are marketing estimates.
You must not
- Present our estimates as a survey, design or guaranteed saving.
- Copy, extract, resell or share property or address data from the service, or use it for anything other than the campaign it was provided for.
- Use addresses from the service for cold calling, door knocking or any other contact without your own lawful basis to do so.
- Upload lists you do not have the right to use, or lists containing anyone who has opted out of your marketing.
- Use another business's name, branding or accreditations, or impersonate anyone.
- Try to get around our checks, access other accounts, or interfere with the service.
